I'm looking at too many square cats and dogs, and I decided to do something different.

I saw an IG reel about making a plate with a sleeping animal, so I decided to do my own spin on it.

Not just so. Because I've been making animals, so my animal colours are slowly going out (blacks, browns, whites, oranges, greys). I thought if I made this piece at least I can use up different glaze colours. The area of the plate is going to be quilt-like patterns. Let me use up some of my blues, greens, pinks, oranges!

So I actually have a couple of ragdoll cats made but all have had some issue or another. One of the main things is the fade of the colour.

As you can see on the above, the markings were... a little too dark, I thought I was using a very light grey, but apparently, against a white it's dark. And the fading at the ears?

Here's hoping this fix-up will come out, if not well, at least acceptable!
