Failed Pieces

So here are the Muffin and Brownie pieces that turned out to be a disaster.

The build itself was already not right. I had just started the free workshop and I didn’t know my speed and such, so I had rushed these 2 pieces together, and the legs were seriously wonky, kept falling off, and I had to fix them a few times.

Brownie’s glaze just crazed and cracked. I was told there is a way to fix it somewhat, but then after Muffin’s color came out totally wrong, I just wanted to give it up. Maybe I need to study the color wheel more, but the colors I mixed were just a beige/peach, with some black and red… how come it came out with a greenish tinge?

That was on the day when the workshop had some video filming going on and they moved the equipment around and I couldn’t find the proper colors. So I started mixing my own, and didn’t have enough, and I rushed the job. Should have done 3 coats, but I thought the 2 coats would be good.

Anyway, I’ve decided to scrap these and took them home. I didn’t promise the owners of Muffin and Brownie that I was making them something, so I’ll scrap that. I have more important people to make these for.

The next thing I have to do is a flat plate where I put all my new colors on and write the number code, so I know how the colors turn out as. Which, coming to think of it, I have quite a lot of beige and peach and shades of red/orange but nothing in brown. I think I should get one more brown.
